Beginners workshops for anyone with enthusiasm and a little patience...

The three-day workshops are for up to twelve people, and hosted in a variety of interesting venues. An introductory slide show is followed by demonstrations of lettering styles, drawing techniques and methods of carving with chisels, followed by individual tuition. As well as lettercarving, we will also explore bas-relief carving in stone. Students are welcome to bring their own stone and project. Fee includes use of tools and equipment (concessions granted). Stones are available for a small charge. Catering arrangements vary according to venue. Details of accommodation in B&Bs are available.
