The opportunity to explore different processes and materials through
lettering often presents itself with architectural and urban interpretation projects.
As well as stone-carving, I make artwork for bronze-cast, sand-blasted, acid-etched, and printed lettering.
Commissioned by city councils, architects – and particularly by environment artists
Eaton Waygood Associates – projects have included historic town trails; poetry in street-paving, on a waterwall, on glass; map-making; street-name signing and hand-railing.
